CHICAGO | “Faces of the World,” an exhibition of Michael Steinberg’s iconic photographs of people from his travels around the globe, opens at 6 p.m. Friday at The Rangefinder Gallery at Tamarkin Camera, 300 W. Superior St.
The gallery exhibit continues through March 28 and will feature approximately 15 photos, gallery owner Dan Tamarkin said.
“I saw Michael’s images and his talent. He uses the same Leica camera I use,” Tamarkin said. “I realized his images would make a great gallery showing.”
Opening night runs through 9 p.m. Friday. The admission-free exhibition can be viewed at the gallery from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays or by appointment.
Walgreen’s in Munster printed Steinberg’s photos for the exhibit, and Hoosier Highlander in Highland matted the photos for the showing. Both businesses are underwriting the exhibition.
