MUNSTER | Hospice of the Calumet Area is seeking volunteers from across Northwest Indiana and neighboring Illinois communities to serve as companions for patients and families facing end-of-life illnesses.
Training for new patient companion volunteers is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 22, Tuesday, Feb. 25; and Saturday, March 1.
Both Saturday sessions are planned for 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Munster office, 600 Superior Ave.
Tuesday’s training will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kish Funeral Home, 10000 Calumet Ave.
