A Munster man is $100,000 richer thanks to a winning ticket in the Illinois Lottery's St. Patrick's Day Millionaire Raffle.

Michael Korzenecki, an electrician for Metra, purchased the winning ticket at Crete Foods and Liquor, 940 E. Steger Road in Crete. The store received a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.

"I was on my way to play a round of golf with friends when it dawned on me that I forgot to play this game," Korzenecki said in a statement issued Wednesday by Illinois Lottery. "So I made a bee line for the store before the tickets sold out."

Korzenecki said he plans to use his winnings to buy some audio equipment and make some investments.
