Formed in 1965, Papa Doo Run Run’s earliest influences were surf music pioneers Jan and Dean. As their following grew, so did their prowess as a vocal band and The Beach Boys became the dominant influence.
Through this association the band has toured and recorded with various members of the Beach Boys. Papa Doo Run Run held the coveted title of “Celebrity House Band” at Disneyland from 1975-1990 and by the mid-1980’s had established themselves at the top tier of corporate entertainment, performing for dozens of Fortune 500 companies.
Their 1985 recording “California Project” achieved a top 20 position on Billboard’s Hot 100 and earned the band a Grammy nomination. Papa Doo Run Run has recorded 10 albums and earned two gold records.
