MUNSTER | Police are searching for a man believed to have robbed the TCF Bank inside the Jewel-Osco at Calumet Avenue and Ridge Road about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday.
The man walked into the bank and gave the teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun. The teller gave him an undetermined amount of cash before the man fled in an unknown direction, according to Munster police Sgt. Steve Kovacik.
The suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s, weighing about 220 pounds and wearing a blue T-shirt.
