MUNSTER | Cancer Resource Centre, 926 Ridge Road, offers free education programs, mind/body/spirit classes and support groups for those with a cancer diagnosis and their caregivers. Call (219) 836-3349 to register for all programs.

Upcoming programs:

Reflexology, 1-3 p.m. Monday — Reflexology is the practice of treating the whole body by touching the feet and sometimes the palms. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending.

Wellness Support Group, 10-11:30 a.m. or 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday — Provides an opportunity to share feelings, receive support and learn ways to cope with the experience of having cancer.

Cancer in the Classroom, 4-6 p.m. Tuesday — Program for educational professionals features James Bovan, PsyD, HSPP, who will address challenges faced by children and families coping with a diagnosis of cancer. Seating is limited.

Healthy Cooking, 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday — Ivy Tech Culinary School will demonstrate and prepare a light meal that is both nutritious and easy to prepare at home.

Reiki, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday —  a technique that aids the body in releasing stress and tension by creating deep relaxation and inner balance. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending.

Family Matters Support Group, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday — a comprehensive, educational and supportive program for patients, couples, spouses and caregivers coping with cancer in their family.

Knit One. . .Nurture Too, 1-2:30 p.m. March 14 — Knitting and crocheting squares, scarves or afghans. Any skill level welcome. Supplies are provided, or bring your own.

Chair Yoga, 2 to 3 p.m. March 14 — Designed for those who have difficulty with the regular yoga environment, sit or use a chair for balance. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending.

Tai Chi, 9:30-10:30 a.m. March 15 — Classes emphasize balance, posture, breathing techniques, concentration and complete relaxation. A prescription from your physician is required prior to attending.

How to Keep Your Energy Levels Up When Undergoing Chemotherapy, 1-2:30 p.m. March 15 — Dr. K. Doshi of Munster Medical Acupuncture & Wellness Clinic will facilitate.
