MUNSTER | "True to Form: Paintings by Carole Stodder" is on display through Sunday in the Atrium Gallery at The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road. Free and open to the public, viewing hours  are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Composition is celebrated in Stodder's painting with groups of boldly painted shapes that relate to one another and combine to form an overall unity.

Stodder began her art career in Chicago before moving to Pines in Porter County. Most recently, she was accepted into the 69th annual South Shore Arts Salon Show and the Under One Roof exhibition last winter at the South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority in Hammond.

Stodder is a member of the Area Artists Association that is linked to the Lubeznik Center for the Arts in Michigan City, and has been both a juror and participant in the Lakefront Art Festival.
