HAMMOND | The free registration deadline for Working Smarter to be Job Marketable, a community program at Purdue University Calumet, has been extended to Monday.

The event begins at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday in Alumni Hall at Purdue Calumet's Student Union and Library. The program for those who are career planning, concerned about their employment status, returning to the workforce after an extended absence or considering starting a business.

Working Smarter is designed to provide insights, tips and strategies to become more job marketable.

The program is $20 at the door, but if individuals register by Monday, the event is free. To register online, go to http://webs.purduecal.edu/workingsmarter/. Attendees can also call Purdue Calumet's Office of university Relations at (219)989- 2217 or the toll-free line at 800-HI-PURDUE, ext. 2217. Calls over the weekend will be taken by message and then called back, so leave a name and phone number.
