Chesterton Firefighters Local 4600 and Chesterton FOP Lodge 141 worked together to help Santa deliver gifts Saturday morning for the annual Santa's Helpers program.

SSCVA elects officers

HAMMOND — The South Shore CVA’s board of directors elected new officers at its December board meeting. Robert Forester, appointed by the town of Munster, remains the chairman of the board. Brent Brashier, owner of DOC’S Smokehouse and Craft Bar, who is appointed by the town of Dyer, was elected as the vice chairman. Chareice White, appointed by the mayor of Crown Point, remains the secretary, and John Kiernan, appointed by the Lake County Council, remains the treasurer.
