SCHERERVILLE | Police are seeking information about a hit-and-run crash that sent a 9-year-old boy to the hospital.
While riding a bicycle, the boy was struck by a vehicle about 5 p.m. Wednesday near 81st Place and Westwood Court, Schererville police said.
A witness told police the female driver exited her vehicle following the crash and spoke with the boy and his friend. The witness also reported the driver retrieved a portion or all of the front bumper, placed it into her vehicle and drove south on Burr Street.
