SCHERERVILLE | Campagna Academy is collecting new stuffed animals for the United Way Regional Volunteer Center's I Need a Hug program.
Stuffed animals will be provided to local elementary schools, which will use them as counseling tools for children in crisis, according to Campagna. Children in area second-grade classes also will use the stuffed animals during Reading Buddy programs.
People interested in donating stuffed animals can bring them to Campagna Academy's administration building at 7403 Cline Ave. in Schererville. The academy will collect the donations until Feb. 26.
