SCHERERVILLE | The town will celebrate the new Perry Ferrini Dog Park on Saturday at the facility on 91st Avenue near Mathews Street.
A 5K fun run starts at 8:30 a.m. A ribbon-cutting for the park will begin at 9 a.m. A Halloween costume contest for people and dogs follows at 9:15 a.m. A 2K dog walk is scheduled to begin immediately after the contest.
Registration is required for the events.
