SCHERERVILLE | Valparaiso residents Marci and Courtney Crozier, former competitors and current ambassadors for “The Biggest Loser," are in the running to represent the popular television show in a Subway commercial.
NBC is running a campaign to pick one of nine “The Biggest Loser” Ambassadors to appear with the Season 14 winner in the commercial along with Subway icon Jared.
Linda Shipley, Franciscan Omni Health and Fitness spokesperson, said Marci Crozier, the Regional Director of Marketing and Sales for Omni, is supporting her daughter for the honor and asking residents to vote for Courtney Crozier at www.nbc.com/subway. Voting ends March 5.
Shipley said as “The Biggest Loser” Ambassadors, the Croziers promote good health and wellness through speaking engagements.
Shipley said they both represent Franciscan Alliance and Northwest Indiana with integrity and have inspired many to make healthy lifestyle changes.
Shipley said Courtney Crozier, who has lost more than 200 pounds, would be a great choice to represent both past contestants and all those who struggle with weight loss and are looking for total wellness in mind, body and spirit.
The mother and daughter team competed together on Season 11 of “The Biggest Loser.”
According to her “The Biggest Loser” profile, Courtney, a student and owner of YoAmazing Yogurt Shoppe, weighed 435 pounds when she decided she needed to make lifestyle changes and lose weight. She lost 112 pounds prior to appearing on the show and another 110 during the show.
According to her profile, Courtney believes that “if you take your life one choice at a time, stay positive, believe in yourself and do enough good for others in the world, you can do anything.”
