SCHERERVILLE | Two people are accused of stealing parts from an auto repair business on U.S. 41 in Schererville.
A Schererville officer stopped a vehicle occupied by Joseph Trembinski, 26, of Gary, and Ronnie Uylaki, 32 of DeMotte, on Dec. 24 on 213th Street near Eagle Ridge Drive, police said.
Catalytic converters, transmissions, a car battery, tires and wheels stolen from MJ's Auto, 700 U.S. 41, were found in the vehicle, police said.
Trembinski and Uylaki each were charged with felony theft, police said.
