Hammond man, 32, accused in thefts from S'ville Walmart
SCHERERVILLE | A 32-year-old Hammond man was charged in connection with a Thursday robbery at Walmart, 1555 U.S. 41.
Sean Pinson was charged with robbery, battery, resisting law enforcement and theft in Lake Criminal Court.
Pinson allegedly took electronic devices from the store. A loss prevention officer attempted to stop Pinson as he was leaving, but Pinson sprayed the employee's face and eyes with an irritant, according to a news release. The employee declined medical treatment.
Pinson fled the parking lot in a silver Mercury. Police initially stopped the vehicle on U.S. 30, but Pinson abruptly fled the area, the news release states.
Pinson, who was identified through a picture lineup, remains at large.
