SCHERERVILLE | A 30-year-old Alsip, Ill., man is accused of purchasing nearly $33,000 worth of watches using another person's credit card, police said.

Issa Fakhoury has been charged with fraud on a financial institution, fraud, identity deception and theft in Lake Criminal Court.

Fakhoury used a Chase Bank credit card to purchase Rolex watches June 5 and June 12 at James & Sons Fine Jewelers, 112 U.S. 41, Schererville, police said.

Chase Bank notified James & Sons that the purchases were made fraudulently on another person’s account. Fakhoury allegedly added himself to the account as an authorized user through an online application.

Through a picture lineup, James & Sons employees identified Fakhoury as the person who made the fraudulent purchases at the store, police said.

Fakhoury remained at large Tuesday, police said.
