SCHERERVILLE | Police arrested a Lake Central High student at the school Friday on suspicion of marijuana possession and dealing.
Officers said they recovered 128 grams of marijuana, $1,630 in cash and other drug paraphernalia from the 16-year-old boy's home in the 900 block Brooke Lane.
Police said the arrest is the result of an investigation by members of the department's Special Operations Task Force, who had purchased marijuana from the suspect following a tip from an confidential informant.
The boy was taken to the Lake County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
