SCHERERVILLE | Campagna Academy Board Member Sandi Snearly-Vosberg and husband Brad Vosberg sneak in one last dance as the afternoon winds down on the Odyssey yacht during the agency's 3rd annual Cruise for Charity that took place Saturday May 18 on Lake Michigan.
More than 140 guests enjoyed spectacular weather and scenic views while savoring a gourmet lunch, cocktails, live band and a silent auction. This nautical themed fundraiser brought in nearly $34,000 in net revenue for the nonprofit's programs and services.
The agency, located in Schererville, IN, annually serves more than 500 at-risk children, youth and families throughout the State of Indiana, but primarily Lake and Porter counties. Their programs include on-campus residential care (both open and private secure), psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF), home and community based services, educational programming targeted to each client's specific needs, an intensive substance abuse treatment program, and therapeutic foster care services.
Campagna Academy is accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Services for Families and Children, licensed by the Indiana Department of Child Services, licensed as a Child Placement Agency and is the only PRTF certified residential facility located in Lake County. Founded in 1947 as Hoosier Boys' Town, Campagna Academy is celebrating 66 years of restoring hopes and building dreams in at-risk youth and families.
