SCHERERVILLE | The Schererville Police Department is searching for two people charged in connection with last week's drug raid in the 1200 block of Kennedy Avenue.
There were eight people in the home when the Northwest Regional SWAT team served a search warrant there March 4.
Immediately after the raid, three people were taken to the Lake County Jail and five others were released because charges hadn't been filed against them.
On Wednesday, police said a total of 14 criminal charges have been accepted against the eight people, and all but two of those charged have turned themselves in to police.
Mitchell Haddad and Shain Aures, both of Schererville, are the two who remain at large, police said.
Haddad, 21, faces charges of dealing in marijuana, possession of a controlled substance and dealing in cocaine, police said.
Aures, 24, was charged with dealing in marijuana.
The identities of other people charged in connection with the raid weren't immediately available from police.
During last week's search warrant, police confiscated 2 pounds of marijuana, cocaine, miscellaneous prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and $7,116 in cash.
Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Haddad or Aures can contact Schererville police Detective Cmdr. Michael Vode at (219) 322-5000.
