SCHERERVILLE | The Schererville Police Department, a sponsor of the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics, is participating in the Red Robin Tip A Cop National Event on Saturday.

Department personnel will volunteer as “celebrity waiters” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 to 8 p.m. to collect tips at the Red Robin Restaurant, 1410 U.S. 41, for Indiana Special Olympics.

Indiana Special Olympics has a goal to raise more than $15,000 - $1,500 for each of the 10 stores participating.

Any donations can also be dropped off today at the Schererville Police Department, 25 E. Joliet St.
