SCHERERVILLE | A Schererville man is accused of using a fake identification to buy alcohol in West Lafayette and then fighting with police officers.
Adam T. Fulk, 19, was arrested and charged with battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting law enforcement, illegal possession of alcohol and possession of a false identification.
The Indiana State Excise Police spotted Fulk buying alcohol with a false identification at a West Lafayette Walmart, according to a press release. Officers stopped him as he was leaving the store.
Fulk pushed one of the officers and then fought with officers before being arrested, police said.
He was booked into the Tippecanoe County Jail. He is a student at Purdue University, according to the university's website.
Fulk's arrest was part of 53 tickets issued during Purdue University's Grand Prix weekend, which is a popular kart race.
