SCHERERVILLE | The Schererville Police Department will accept applications for its probationary police officer position during an orientation at 10 a.m. April 6 at the department's training facility, 25 E. Joliet St.
Applicants must be between 21 to 35 years old, have a high school diploma or GED and have no felony convictions.
Attending the orientation is necessary to be eligible for the hiring process.
Those interested in applying must pay a $25 application fee. Only cash or money orders will be accepted.
