SCHERERVILLE | The Schererville Police Department will have a free self-defense program for women from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Nov. 25 at the department, 25 E. Joliet St.

A portion of the program will be in a classroom setting. Participants also will learn and perform defensive movements in the department's exercise room.

Registration forms are available at the Police Department between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. They are due back to the department by Nov. 25.

Participants must be at least 18 years old.
