SCHERERVILLE | A woman didn't want police to investigate after she told them she was robbed by a man with a knife Thursday, officials said.

Police were dispatched to Walmart, 1555 U.S. 41, for a call of an armed robbery, according to a police news release.

An 18-year-old woman claimed to have been robbed by a man with a knife after offering to give him a ride, the release states.

Once the woman was taken to speak with investigators at the Police Department, she refused to cooperate with detectives and signed a waiver to decline any further investigation.
