SCHERERVILLE | Local police and firefighters are inviting area residents to join them in forming an honor line tonight to pay tribute to the World War II veterans attending “Honor Flight – One Final Mission” at AMC Showplace 12 Theater.

Participants will line up at 6 p.m. at the Tri-Town Safety Village, 1350 Eagle Ridge Drive in Schererville.

At 6:15, accompanied by the Lake County Sheriff’s Pipe and Drums and Honor Guard, participants will march to Showplace 12, 1400 Eagle Ridge Drive.

The movie, which features three Chicago veterans’ flights to Washington, D.C., is sponsored by Honor Flight Chicago. Doors open at 7 with a Veterans Honor Program at 7:15.
