CROWN POINT | Foul play is not suspected in the death of a Schneider woman at this time, according to a news release issued Thursday by the office of Lake County Sheriff John Buncich.

The death of Tracy Loitz, 40, remains under investigation, the release states.

Lake County police are investigating the death of the woman who was found strangled Monday in her home.

Tracy Loitz, 40, of the 23000 block of Cottage Grove in Schneider, died at 9:30 p.m. at Franciscan St. Anthony Health hospital in Crown Point, according to the Lake County coroner's office.

Loitz died from strangulation but the manner of death was pending at the time of the coroner's statement released Wednesday night.
