Several Northwest Indiana police departments will answer residents' questions Wednesday during Coffee with a Cop events.

Officers with the Indiana University Police Department-Northwest will discuss community issues and talk with residents from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday in the RedHawk Cafeteria in the Moraine Student Center.

The department's Coffee with a Cop program is in its fifth year.

The LaPorte County Sheriff's Office, Westville Police Department and Purdue University Northwest Police Department will meet with residents from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McDonald's on U.S. 421 in Westville.

The event is the third in a series of community outreach programs this year, the sheriff's office said. WIMS 1420 AM will broadcast live from McDonald's during the event.
