ST. JOHN | Crown Point Resident Erik Schneider is proud to operate his Hometown Appliance Electronics, 10033 Wicker Avenue, in the city where he grew up and went to school.
"I absolutely love this community and serving it is very important to me," said Schneider. "We take our responsibility to provide the utmost customer service very seriously."
Schneider, who recently celebrated Hometown's one-year anniversary, is a Lake Central High School grad and prides his business as offering big box savings, financing and pricing while offering solid customer service.
"We take pride in the fact that we can beat the price of our competition while offering quality customer care," said Schneider. "Oftentimes, people don't understand that we are part of a Mega group, which gives independent retailers purchase power."
That purchase power includes TVs, home entertainment equipment, washers, dryers, microwaves, refrigerators, among others.
Home Appliance Electronics' Manager Paul Chepela has big box store experience but prefers working with an owner and not a corporation.
"I have enjoyed most of my employment experiences but there is something about talking directly to the owner that gives customers a certain satisfaction," said Paul Chepela, Hometown store manager. "I also love seeing Erik's kids coming in and out of the store."
Hometown Appliance and Electronics is an authorized Viking Appliance dealer and is open Monday-Friday from 10:00 a.m.-7 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
