ST. JOHN | The national television news report on Lake Central High School's Gold Star Memorial Project that was originally scheduled to run Monday on the CBS Evening News has been re-scheduled for the 5:30 p.m. broadcast of the CBS Evening News today, Feb. 21.
The report features teacher Tom Clark and his students, who have interviewed local military veterans and their families and archived documents and mementos for the past 27 years to preserve their stories.
The project was featured in Bill Vargo's column Sunday in The Times.
