ST. JOHN | St. John the Evangelist School honored over 30 Veterans in an all school assembly. The program began with a prayer from Deacon Paul Krilich and Presentation of Colors by Scouts Pack 550. President Obama’s Proclamation of Veterans Day 2013 was read to the assembly followed by the introduction of the Veterans.

Our St. John the Evangelist band performed several patriotic songs including a trumpet solo by Sarah Jackson. The program also included group vocal performances.

Mr. Mike Stickann, Middle School Language Arts Teacher, spoke about his passion for the Wounded Warrior Project.

St. John the Evangelist School is proud to organize this annual event to show our students the importance of our military and our Veterans. We also are delighted to be able to reach out to our community to thank and honor our Veterans.
