ST. JOHN | In an effort to push the Republican ticket before Tuesday, Indiana Attorney General Greg Zoeller stopped by a local GOP headquarters.
He urged locals to vote Republican to change the political landscape in Lake County, noting GOP candidates would help get county politics on the right track.
“My message for today is, I'm sick and tired of coming up here for public corruption,” he said.
The current attorney general even took time to call some local residents on the phone and encourage them to head to the polls.
"(Lake County) is the second largest number of Republican voters in the state," he said. "It's a very important part of the political makeup of the state and has the most opportunity for growth."
Zoeller was joined by several GOP candidates vying for support in both the Senate and House elections, including Joel Phelps, William Fine and Ron Johnson.
Locals supporting Zoeller included county coroner candidate Andy Koultourides, Lake County commissioner hopeful Jerry Tippy and Lake County recorder candidate Pamela J. Drangmeister.
