Eric Martel Johnson, 20, of Gary, is the United States Marshals Service, Great Lakes Fugitive Task Force fugitive of the week.

Johnson is 5-feet-6-inches tall, weighs 145 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Johnson is wanted by the Lake County Sherrif's Department for attempted murder, aggravated battery, battery by means of a deadly weapon and battery resulting in serious bodily injury, the U.S. Marshal reported. He is accused of shooting a male victim several times on May 3, 2013, the Marshal's office reported.

Johnson has been known to reside in the 2700 block of Delaware and near the intersection of 27th and Virginia in Gary, according to the task force.
