A host family in Northwest Indiana is being sought to house and guide a 16-year-old male exchange student from Spain, or a 17-year-old female student from Brazil, for the upcoming school year.

Both students arrive this month before school starts and return to their countries in June. The only expense for the host family will be room and board, and providing a measure of cultural guidance for their student. Families with or without children are encouraged to volunteer their hospitality for the school year.

The sponsoring organization is the Council for Educational Travel USA , a nonprofit, public benefit cultural exchange program, with a goal of bringing world neighbors closer together through cultural exchange. The program is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Mich., and each year places upward of 800 students nationwide.

Those interested in becoming a host family can contact Joseph Rockelmann at (866) 365-9940 for more information about the application process. Visit www.cetusa.org for more information.
