Top teacher named in Whiting

WHITING | Patricia Hasse, first-grade teacher at St. John the Baptist School, has been named Teacher of the Year by the Whiting-Robertsdale Chamber of Commerce. Hasse is an alumna of St. John the Baptist School and has been a member of the faculty for 32 years. “My colleagues, friends and students of St. John the Baptist really deserve this recognition, since they have been integral in helping me to become the educator that I am today,” Hasse said. St. John the Baptist School was founded in 1901 and is sponsored by the Missionaries of the Precious Blood.
