WHITING | The Whiting Fire Department, in conjunction with the School City of Whiting, sponsored a poster contest for Third and Fourth graders, and an Essay contest for Fifth Graders to promote Fire Prevention Week.

This years’ contest theme was “Have Two Ways Out." All nine winners received a Medallion, T-Shirt and Certificate. The three 1st Place winners each received a Gift Card.
