WHITING | Specialist Sean Coleman, a 2000 Whiting HS grad, enlisted with the US Army Transportation Corps. Sean deployed in March on his 1st tour with Operation Enduring Freedom in Northern Afghanistan. While deployed, he received two Army accommodation medals, one for developing a tactical operations facility.
Spc. Coleman's tour was scheduled for 9 months but was shortened unexpectedly to 6 months. He is home for the birth of his son.
