WINFIELD TOWNSHIP | A fire damaged a house at 12707 Gibson St. on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The fire started about 5 p.m. on the second floor, said Graham Federico, fire chief for the Lakes of the Four Seasons Fire Force. The blaze damaged about 50 percent of the house.
Federico said investigators had not determined an exact cause of the fire. He said Wednesday's weather could have played a factor in the blaze.
Area agencies assisted Lakes of the Four Season Fire Force, and the fire was under control within two hours.
Two teenagers were home during the time of the fire and were not injured, Federico said. A family of five lived at the house and planned to stay with family members.
The fire did not spread to any nearby buildings.
