WINFIELD | Chicagoland’s popular a cappella doo wop vocal quintet, Harbor Lights, will be in concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, at the Church of Four Seasons, 9100 E. 109th Ave.

Tickets are $15, and 100 percent of ticket proceeds will go to the church. Call (219) 663-7803, Monday through Thursday, for tickets.

For the last 14 years, Harbor Lights have sold out theaters, recorded five albums on Philadelphia’s Collectables label, performed for former Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels, and former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and established themselves as one of the most celebrated groups in the a cappella  doo-wop genre.

“We have had a great run, and it continues to get better” said George Carl, spokesperson for the group. "We feel really fortunate that we have been able to reach so many people in so many ways with our music.”

Carl, along with Cheryl DeRosier, Dave Mitchell, Fernando Rodriguez and Jim Calinski, all hail from Northwest Indiana.

“Our roots are here,” Carl said. "We grew up listening to these great doo-wop classic tunes in Hammond, East Chicago, Gary and Indiana Harbor. We are strongly connected to all the communities in the Calumet Region.”
