COOLSPRING TOWNSHIP | A juvenile house-sitting for a Coolspring Township family and two other juveniles, along with three adults younger than 21 years old, were arrested Friday night for underage drinking and trespassing, LaPorte County police said.
Police responded to 10324 W. County Road 100 North near Otis after receiving a complaint about an underage drinking party. A neighbor told police the homeowner was out of town and the juvenile watching the house had guests over drinking and making excessive noise.
LaPorte Deputies Jonathan Burger, Andy Hynek and Derek Allen arrived and found several people in the family's hot tub. One juvenile identified himself as the host of the party but also told police he knew he did not have permission to be at the home at the time. The investigation shows the people arrested had been consuming vodka, police said.
In addition to the juveniles, Tiffany Robertson, Tyler Russ and Jamie Power, all 18 and from Michigan City, were charged with underage drinking and trespassing. - BY STAN MADDUX, TIMES CORRESPONDENT
