PORTAGE | This week Best Western Plus LaPorte Hotel & Convention Center was awarded with January R.O.S.E. Award, an honor given by the Visit Michigan City LaPorte Convention and Visitors Bureau to local front line employees who are nominated by their customers.
This is what the guest said about the exceptional service they received. The staff here is super cool. Front desk, bar, waitresses and housekeepers are all really helpful with information about the area because most of them live in the area, so if you want good places to eat or hang out or whatever they got you covered. I am here all week for work every week for 12 weeks and I have pets to take care of and they are very accommodating with that situation as well.
Owner Gerry Roth was asked how it feels to have his staff nominated for the award and he said, “I am very pleased and I give all of the credit to the contentious and caring staff for their dedication”. Honestly, it gives me goose bumps to think about what we have done here to bring this business back from where it was a few years ago and we are happy to do this for our community.
R.O.S.E. winners are given a $100 bill folded into a rose corsage, along with a plaque. Winners are also invited to attend the annual R.O.S.E. Luncheon, a joint venture held by the tourism bureaus from LaPorte and Porter counties.
