Charges have been filed stemming from a July 4 armed robbery at a Westville-area home.
Full details are not being disclosed because the probe is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
"It's been a pretty extensive investigation," LaPorte County Sheriff's Department Detective Scott Boswell said.
Brandon Montano, 20, of Michigan City, is charged with robbery, burglary and criminal confinement.
Codey Janssen, 23, of North Liberty, is charged with assisting in the burglary and robbery.
One of the counts against the men was elevated to a Class A felony punishable by a 20 to 50 year sentence due to the victim being injured and a firearm being involved, officials said.
The victim was outside his home in the 10000 block of County Road West 200 South on July 4 when the suspects forced him into his residence.
Boswell said the man was held while the two suspects and at least one other individual took items worth more than $10,000.
Boswell would not disclose what all was taken. Investigators are in the process of attempting to recover some of those items.
According to court documents, the victim was confined to his home for about 45 minutes and sustained a serious injury. The man refused medical treatment at the time, saying he would take himself to the hospital. The cause of the injury not revealed.
Boswell said why the suspects targeted the victim is still under investigation.
