LAPORTE | A Michigan City man Friday admitted to selling thousands of dollars worth of drugs taken from where he worked as a pharmacy technician.
Jordan Henderson, 22, pleaded guilty in LaPorte Circuit Court to Class C felony dealing a schedule IV substance.
According to court documents, the thefts occurred at a CVS Pharmacy in LaPorte.
Police became involved in August after receiving a tip that Henderson was selling large quantities of hydrocodone belonging to the pharmacy.
Henderson told investigators he obtained a technician license in 2009 a year after graduating from Marquette High School in Michigan City.
He also claimed he stole the pills and sold them to pay off $7,500 in student loans, according to court documents.
The plea taken under advisement calls for a two-year sentence on work release and four years probation.
