A La Porte-based bank is making its first foray into nearby Michigan.
LaPorte Savings Bank open a new mortgage office in St. Joseph, Mich. The bank currently has eight locations in LaPorte and Porter counties.
The new location will be at 2918 Division St. in St. Joseph, and will serve Berrien, Cass and Van Buren counties in the southwest part of the state.
"Southwest Michigan fits perfectly into our natural progression of growth due to its close proximity to our base," said Michele M. Thompson, bank president. "We are excited to serve the residents of Southwest Michigan as they make their dreams of home ownership a reality."
The new LPSB Mortgages office will offer a wide array of mortgage products, including conventional, jumbo and Veterans Affairs loans.
