The Michigan City Police Department netted more than 40 arrests after a warrant sweep dubbed "Operation Trick or Treat."

A SWAT team also helped police execute two narcotics search warrants that turned up marijuana, stolen handguns, Ecstasy pills, and cash, police reported. Michigan City police say they took five dangerous weapons off the street in a 24-hour period, mostly through "Operation Trick or Treat."

Police arrested Deandre Burnett, 34, on a charge of possession of marijuana after serving a search warrant for drugs. They also arrested LaShaun Murry, 33, on charges of being a serious violent felon in possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana.

Various law enforcement agencies assisted with the warrant sweep taking in mostly Michigan City residents Friday. Those arrested included:

• Juan Aguillon, 26, on a charge of operating while intoxicated

• Magon Bradford, 39, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Christopher Brown, 37, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Michael Brown, 27, on a charge of theft

• A.D. Clemons, 30, on a charge of battery

• Dale Clemons, 48, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Cedric Crawford Jr., 18, on a charge of criminal recklessness

• Colton Crawford, 24, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Jennifer Day, 37,  on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Randall Equhart Jr., 46,  on a charge of battery

• Robert Feare, 54, LaPorte, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Miss Fleming, 22, on a charge of theft

• Zachory Fredenburg, 23, on a charge of dealing marijuana

• Brittany Garrett, 26, on a charge of dealing marijuana

• Christopher Gause, 23, on a charge of theft

• Tyrone George, 44, on a charge of theft

• Mikkel Harvell, 32, on a charge of theft

• Kimberly Horner, 40, already in custody, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Jacob Hurley, 30, on a charge of leaving the scene of an accident

• Jacob Lofton, 20, LaPorte, on a charge of dealing marijuana

• Megan Lubiniecki, 22, Michigan City Courthouse, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Antonio Moore, 23, LaPorte, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Tina Moore, 49, LaPorte, on contempt of court

• Jay New, 21, on a charge of battery

• Gregory Oliver, 51, already in custody, on a charge of criminal mischief

• Robert Pearce Jr., 34, already in custody, on a charge of driving while suspended

• Terry Roberts, 46, on a charge of domestic battery

• Ashley Schofield, 23, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Derek See, 33, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• James Skehan, 52, on a charge of identify deception

• Tara Smith, 28, LaPorte, on a charge of dealing a controlled substance

• Eric Stewart, 38, on a charge of dealing cocaine

• Nicholas Stone, 23, on a charge of domestic battery

• Larry Taylor, 55, on a charge of dealing cocaine

• Kevin Vanderpool, 25, on a charge of theft

• Johndalyn Veasey, 27, on a charge of being a habitual traffic violator

• Krisopher Walker, 18, on a charge of dealing marijuana

• Krystal Wingard, 25, on a charge of battery

• Phelica Young, 31, on a charge of theft
