MICHIGAN CITY | Unity Foundation of LaPorte County President Maggi Spartz recently had the opportunity to visit ReStore at LaPorte County Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat Director Bob Long gave a tour of the shop.

The ReStore sells new and gently used building materials, appliances, furniture, flooring, paint, hardware and many other items donated by individuals, corporations and contractors at discounted prices. The profits are used to support the mission of Habitat for Humanity.

ReStore, 1002 W. Greene St., is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays. It is open to the public, businesses and organizations.

To donate to ReStore or volunteer, call (219) 814-4985. Pick-ups of larger items can be scheduled on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
