LAPORTE | The Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible” team is taking over a restaurant in LaPorte next week.

Food Network is looking for volunteers who would like to assist in the renovation, which takes place over two days and includes painting, crafting, construction, remodeling, cleaning and decorating. The network is also looking for skilled contractors who could assist in their respective fields.

The times and dates are: 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 18, 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. Wednesday Sept. 18 and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19.

While this is a volunteer position, meals will be provided. Participants should be comfortable with being on camera as well as wear comfortable clothing and shoes with no logos.

According to the Food Network, the show seeks to turn around a restaurant facing challenges with a $10,000 budget in just two days. The host is Chef Robert Irvine.
