LAPORTE | Police said a 37-year-old LaPorte man robbed a liquor store Wednesday and stole an undetermined amount of cash.
Terry A. West was arrested on a Class B felony robbery charge after an investigation, police said.
The LaPorte Police Department responded to the robbery about 1:20 p.m. at Bottle Shop Too, 1212 Lincolnway.
Police collected evidence at the scene, including a surveillance video that helped officers identify West a suspect, police said.
Investigators later determined West was staying at a Michigan City motel.
With the assistance of the Michigan City Police Department, officers contacted West and arrested him.
The robbery charge carries a possible sentence of six to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to a $10,000. Additional charges could be filed, police said.
