MICHIGAN CITY | An investigation spurred on with help from citizens resulted in the arrest of seven people Friday and seizure of marijuana, guns, cash and bullets, according to Michigan City Police.
The Michigan City Police SWAT team made calls at four residences in the city to execute search warrants resulting in the arrests of the following people on probable cause charges pending formal charges:
• Earlene Lemons, 39, 418 E. 9th St., maintaining a common nuisance, a class D felony.
• Breshawn Young, 18, 604 Main St., theft, a class D felony.
• Christopher Diggs, 20, 118 Green St., possession of marijuana, class A misdemeanor.
• Monica Simpson, 38, 324 1/2 E. 10th St., three charges of dealing marijuana, a class C felony.
• Lamel Gary Sr., 43, 324 1/2 E. 10th St., three charges of dealing marijuana, a class C felony.
• One juvenile male at 418 E. 9th St., possession of marijuana, a class A misdemeanor.
• One juvenile male, at 604 Main St., three charges of dealing marijuana, a class C felony.
