MICHIGAN CITY | The Jewish Film Festival on April 7 at the Michigan City Library will give visitors a look at various aspects of life from three very different perspectives.

The three films featured will explore the lives of an 88-year-old man, a 13-year-old boy and a very startled Muslim who discovers he was born a Jew.

Purdue University North Central Odyssey Arts and Cultural Events Series, along with the Michigan City Public Library and the Irving Levin Jewish Cultural Fund of Sinai Temple, will present the festival from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. April 7 at the Michigan City Public Library, 100 E. Fourth St. Refreshments will be enjoyed during a coffee klatch and cake break.

"B-Boy" is a 15-minute film about Eli, a typical bar mitzvah boy. However, once Eli is put on the competitive break dance floor, he's E-Break, part of nationally recognized break dancing crew. This was winner of the short film competition at the Boston Jewish Film Festival.

"Music Man Murray" is a 22-minute film that tells the story of Murray Gershenz, who at age 88 figures it's time to sell his Los Angeles record store, filled with a half million records. This also won at the Boston Jewish Film Festival.

"The Infidel" is rated R for strong language. This film depicts a devoted Muslim family man who experiences a severe identity crisis after discovering he was adopted at birth and that his real name is Solly Shimshillewitz. Hilarity ensues. The film runs 1 hour, 45 minutes. It stars Omid Djalili and features Richard Schiff, of "West Wing," and Archie Panjabi, of "The Good Wife."
