Barker Mansion is a 1900 house museum built by John H. Barker, a railroad industrialist. The mansion contains Barker household items and original artwork. The turn-of the-century style garden, centered with a pool and brick walkways, contains colorful annuals, roses and perennials. Wicker chairs, sundial, griffon bench, traditional garden sculpture items and hanging ferns complete the late Victorian scene.
Barker Mansion is at 631 Washington St., one block east of Lighthouse Place Premium Outlet Mall. Call (219) 873-1520.
